The Exwick Ark is a pre-school run by
Harriet Sharp (B.Eng.) and Paula Stone (B.Ed & Early Years Professional Status).
The Exwick Ark strives to be the very best Pre-school in Devon.
The Pre-school became Quality Assured along with the Investors in Children Award in August 2007
Three of the Play leader staff have been awarded Early Years Professional Status.
It is inspected by Ofsted
and can take up to 41 children from 0-5 years of age.
Parents of 3 and 4 year olds can use Early
Years Entitlement Funding
to pay for up to 15 hours
per week 38 weeks a year (eg term time).
Fees can be paid for with Childcare Vouchers (tax free), for example Sodexho Pass.
The Exwick Ark is currently based at Exwick Parish Hall, Station Road, Exwick, EX4 2AA.
There is an active Parent Forum giving input
from a Parent's perspective
and organising events for the families
attending The Exwick Ark.
Training and Continuing Professional Development is promoted for staff and parents.
The ethos of the
Exwick Ark is based on Christian principals and we give children an
opportunity to hear Bible stories,
Christian songs and prayers during
their time at The Exwick Ark.
